With a passion for fashion and a keen eye for style, Erika has made her mark in the industry as a personal and fashion stylist, multi-label fashion curator, high-end personal shopper, and the creative director of Akire-Collection.
With more than twelve years of experience in the fashion world, during this time she has honed her skills, worked as a personal stylist ,personal shopper for a range of private clients around the globe, and modeling for various fashion projects.
Erika A. studied culinary arts, but while she enjoyed cooking, she was also craving a more vibrant and fulfilling creative outlet. It was then she discovered her passion for fashion, where her love for food seamlessly merged with her newfound love for style. Drawing inspiration from the principles of balance and precision in culinary art, Erika believes that the key to impeccable fashion lies in knowing just how much to add.
In addition to running her concept store, Erika is the creative director behind the Akire Collection, an embodiment of African luxury bags crafted with attention to details by experienced and skilled artisans. Born during the challenges of the Covid era, Akire celebrates the true craftsmanship of Erika’s fellow countrymen, embodying a spirit of resilience and beauty.
Erika’s love affair with fashion is epitomized by her signature statement the scarab beetle, which is also the Akire’s brand logo. Inspired by a chance encounter with rock legend Steve Tyler, who praised her scarab accessory as “a beautiful statement piece,” Erika considers it’s her lucky charm, she has worn the scarab beetle jewellery collections to countless events in the past and continues to do as a symbol of her growth journey; a reminder of the places ,people that gave and still give her strength to learn and unlearn.
